The view from the Sant Francesc roof terrace takes in the cathedral, the sea and the neighboring Gothic basilica after which the hotel is named. Soon after it opened in 2015, Condé Nast named this the hottest hotel of the year. Many original features have been preserved in the historic neoclassical style building, such as the decorated ceiling and hitching posts in the inner courtyard where they used to saddle their horses in bygone times. Breakfast is served in the former stables that have been transformed into a sober gourmet restaurant. The hotel rooms have a sophisticated but minimalist style. The color palette is white, gray and beige and many of the rooms are furnished with antiques and photo art.
