Are you a rabid soccer fan? If so, you won’t want to miss all the action when the local Ligue 1 soccer club, Montpellier HSC, plays in the jam-packed Stade de la Mosson. The arena houses around 33,000 spectators and has hosted several big FIFA events over the years – it’s a dream-come-true for any true soccer enthusiast. Idyllic sandy beaches
If you’re into sun and surf, several beautiful beaches fringe the city, such as the long white-sand Plage de l‘Espiguatte or the conveniently located Carnon Beach. If you prefer a more secluded spot, we recommend the picturesque La Plagette. This inconspicuous beach is situated beneath the cliffs in Laucate, just outside of Montpellier. The more adventurous members of your party will enjoy the fantastic snorkeling close to the rugged shore.
